I treat the AI model as an interface, not a hard dependency — so a price or rate-limit change on one provider doesn't take a workflow down.
How I approach an automation project
- Understand the manual process end to end, and where it actually breaks.
- Map the trigger, the data sources and the destination before building anything.
- Build the workflow in n8n (or Zapier), adding an AI step only where it helps.
- Add error handling and monitoring so failures are visible, not silent.
- Hand it over with documentation so you can run and change it yourself.
